When Goodwin Summons "Ascension Sky Dragon" (by any method), a cut-in frame of Goodwin briefly appears, and he announces "Ascension Sky Dragon!" Most of the time when Goodwin attacks with that monster, he announces "Attack, Ascension Sky Dragon!", followed by "Ultimate Ascending Wave!" When Goodwin activates that monster's first effect, he announces "When Ascension is Synchro Summoned, its effect activates!", followed by "It gains ATK for every card in my hand!" (spoken as "It gains Attack Points for every card in my hand!") When Goodwin activates that monster's second effect, he announces "When Ascension is destroyed, its Synchro Materials return!", followed by "Ascending Reincarnation!" Before Goodwin Special Summons "Phantasmal Lord Ultimitl Bishbaalkin" using its own procedure, he announces "The beginning and the end are both under its control!", followed by "Watch as chaos materializes into its true form!"
